Private patients No referral required. Private patients with private health extras cover including Occupational Therapy will be able to be reimbursed for the consultation. There will be some out of pocket expenses for the Hand Therapy consultation as well as any consumables, such as splints and dressings. These costs vary depending on your level of cover.
Workcover patients Workcover patients usually have full cover as long as their claim has been accepted and their medical certificate is current.
CTP insurance clients Similarly, if the claim has been accepted we can request pre-approval to cover the consultation and consumables.
DVA patients A GP referral is needed (D904) and DVA will cover all costs for Gold card holders and for specific conditions for White card holders.
Medicare A number of sessions can be provided for chronic conditions under the Enhanced Primary Care Scheme – A GP referral and care plan is needed.
